Notified Body
SATRA is a Notified Body for the CE marking of products under the European Union's Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Directive.
CE marking of PPE must be carried out by a Notified Body such as SATRA. The process involves checking that the product meets the appropriate safety and performance standards and that technical files and user information are correct. Where appropriate, we also ensure that procedures are place for on-going checks of performance and quality.
SATRA offers a fast efficient service for clients and will also advise on the procedures which need to be followed.
SATRA can also test most types of PPE to determine if they comply with the Directive - see Safety Product Testing.
Additionally, SATRA is a Notified Body for the following European Directives:
- Medical Services Directive.
- Toy Safety Directive.
- The Construction Products Directive.
