Research and Consultancy
Use SATRA research and consultancy services to:
- Develop innovative materials and products
- Enhance the performance attributes of materials and products
- Optimise production and processing capabilities
- Solve technical problems
- Meet environmental legislation
SATRA has a wide range of expertise to undertake research and development for member companies. We can help in developing new materials, products or processes, investigating ways of improving performance or preventing problems in manufacture or service.
Such research will usually be funded by a member company or a group of companies and undertaken on a strictly confidential basis. However, in certain circumstances, SATRA is prepared to contribute financially to research projects.
SATRA also has a programme of research funded out of membership subscriptions. This is targeted at providing new or enhanced services for members, solving an industry wide problem, providing information on utilising a new technology or helping member companies meet new legislation.

New products: Monitoring with Sensor
Sensor is a self-contained miniature sensing system for remote monitoring of temperature and humidity. It can be used to monitor in-factory processing conditions (for example heat setting) or ascertain the conditions encountered by products in transit (for example in containers in the tropics).
Sensor is available for sale - contact Tom Bayes:
