SATRA cutting award for members

The SATRA cutting award is a way of improving and maintaining quality in the cutting room during the manufacture of footwear and covers the complete cutting process.

SATRA's experienced auditors examine various stages of the cutting procedure including:
* Incoming inspection
* Storage
* Physical conditions in the cutting area
* Space
* Layout
* Lighting
* Access and equipment maintenance

The quality of the cut pieces and the training cutters have received are also checked. We monitor the overall facilities of the company and its ability to consistently supply quality products. Footwear manufacturers who achieve a required standard of competence can apply for SATRA registration.
