Services available
SATRA can test all types of furniture, bedding and related materials for a range of performance properties including:
- Whole product tests for the strength and durability of chairs, beds, cabinets and kitchen units.
- Tests for individual materials and components such as lacquers, upholstery covers, textiles and leathers.
- Tests for home and office furniture include functioning of drawers, resistance to scratching and spillages.
- Tests for performance of beds, mattresses, bunk beds and futons.
- Presence of restricted chemicals.
- Flammability and ignition tests on bedding and upholstery.
All tests can be carried out against national (e.g. BS), European (EN), international (ISO) standards or against SATRA's unique performance guidelines.
