LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (SAFETY PRODUCTS)

SAFETY PRODUCTS CENTRE

The majority of the work will be physical testing of safety gloves, helmets, protective wear and fall protection equipment.

Candidates must have GCSE or equivalents in Maths and at least one science subject at Grade C or above. You will also be able to work independently when required and be expected to work to deadlines and produce accurate, detailed results.

Overseas travel may be a feature of any role in SATRA.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (FOOTWEAR)

FOOTWEAR TECHNOLOGY TESTING CENTRE

The majority of the work in the footwear centre is physical testing of footwear, leather and other footwear components. However, we also test many other consumer products such as upholstery and luggage.

Candidates must have GCSE or equivalents in Maths and at least one science subject at Grade C or above. You will also be able to work independently when required and be expected to work to deadlines and produce accurate, detailed results.

SALES ADMINISTRATOR (EQUIPMENT SALES)

TEMPORARY MATERNITY COVER

We require an experienced person to manage the Sales Administration of our testing equipment and services.

You will have an in-depth knowledge of import and particularly export procedures, will have sales office experience and be computer literate. Desirable characteristics are experience of working with engineering quality systems, knowledge of Access Dimensions, Goldmine and Outlook.

Language skills and sales experience would also be an advantage.

RECEPTIONIST/TELEPHONIST

WYNDHAM WAY AND ROCKINGHAM ROAD (BOTH SATRA SITES IN KETTERING)

Your main responsibility will be to act as receptionist/telephonist, dealing with a high volume of calls and visitors. You will assist with the computerised time logging system and produce reports; deal with parcels; various administration duties, maintain files and other records. You will also provide cover for the Post Room as required.

Normal hours of work will be 08.30am to 12.00 noon at Wyndham Way and 1.00pm-5.00pm at Rockingham Road - Monday to Thursday, 08.30am to 12.30pm at Wyndham Way and 1.00pm-4.30pm at Rockingham Road on Friday, a total of 37.5 hours per week. Times and locations are subject to change to cover for holidays and sickness.

SATRA places a high priority on customer care; ideally you will have reception and switchboard experience, patience and good inter-personal skills are important, as are neatness, accuracy and attention to detail. Computer and typing skills would be an advantage. Driving Licence required.

Salary up to £15,000 p.a.
