When carrying out risk assessments, one of the key factors that needs to be taken into consideration is users of a product who may be considered as more vulnerable by virtue of ability or understanding. For products such as toys and childcare articles special requirements have been established to demonstrate the safety of products intended for children.

However children’s footwear is not considered as either toys or childcare articles and therefore suppliers of children’s footwear need to develop techniques and procedures to address the potential risks associated with the use and performance of the complete range of children’s footwear from slippers, through school shoes to wellingtons and trainers.

Who should attend?

This event is aimed at anyone involved in the manufacture, supply, distribution or specification of children’s footwear. During the sessions SATRA experts will look at many of the potential risks associated with children’s footwear and provide guidance on best practice and ensuring that the product is fit for purpose and safe.

Programme

The event is exclusive to members of SATRA. The cost will be £150 per delegate for the first delegate with additional delegates from the same company (up to 3 per organisation) available at £75.
