Floorcoverings Testing

SATRA conducts a wide range of floorcoverings testing and evaluation, including slip testing, to ensure that it is safe to use and fit for purpose and meets appropriate industry specifications. A comprehensive floorcoverings testing and performance evaluation service is available for all types of flooring in both the domestic and commercial sectors. We can test to UK, European and International standards. SATRA is a Notified Body for EN 14041: 2005, and can assist in CE marking requirements under the Construction Products Directive (89/106/EEC).

SATRA's comprehensive physical, chemical, environmental and flammability testing facilities are used to evaluate all types of flooring. Specific equipment for carpet testing includes; Vetterman Drum, Hexapod, Lisson Tretrad abrasion, Castor chair test and static electricity testing. We also have a unique test for measuring the slip resistance properties of floor surfaces in situ.
