Policy on Health and Safety at Work

SATRA Executive:

  • is fully committed to complying with all relevant UK/EU health and safety legislation, to ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all our employees, and that of our visitors, tenants, contractors and members of the public affected by our activities.
  • will set and maintain high standards of health and safety at all locations and will provide adequate and appropriate resources to ensure the success of this policy.
  • will treat health and safety as seriously as other strategic aims, with a view to minimising injuries, occupational illness and damage to property, plant and processes.
  • supports the process of "risk assessment" as a means of achieving continual cost effective improvement in performance and will ensure that all company health and safety documents, including this policy, are reviewed at regular intervals.
  • requires managers and other supervising staff at all locations to implement these policy aims within their business areas.
  • recognises it is equally the duty of each employee to exercise personal responsibility for their own safety and that of others. To support this principle, SATRA will encourage consultation with and the participation of all employees in the implementation and compliance with our health and safety policies.
  • will provide appropriate training for all employees at all levels.
