The training begins with the trainee system users working with the SATRAData DVD. The trainee observes operations and learns how to create time standards from these observations. There are many different operations featured on the DVD, including those which require paths. This facilitates training in the correct way to digitise paths for actions, such as stitching, skiving, cementing and folding.
As each exercise is completed, the novice users can check their results against those in the supplied manual to see if they are correct. There are 30 operations for analysis on the DVD. The skills of the trainees will improve as each exercise is completed.
Once the first phase of the training has been completed, focus moves to the SATRAData software. This involves being on the factory floor creating custom time standards for operations in the cutting, preparation and stitching departments.
The users continue to learn how to analyse operations. The operations are first examined using lean techniques and then, when the most effective methods have been identified, SATRAData values are created for them. As the values are built up, the users will become familiar with all aspects of the software. This culminates in the new users being fully conversant with the system and having all the knowledge required to enable them to produce times and labour costs for their factory on a daily basis.
The SATRAData DVD and a manual are included with the training.
